Here are the Youth Video Awards 2016 TOP 4 Winners!
Please read and carefully understand the following details and guidelines for the Youth Video Awards 2016 (the “Competition”) before participating. All those submitting entries will be known as “Entrants”.
Each video submission must be linked to this year’s theme: You Only Live Once (#YOLO) Any video submission which bears no relevance to the theme may be disqualified.
Your video must be related to “how or why life matters” and include a story or moral reference to how Malaysians can appreciate and value life.
You are encouraged to be creative with the #YOLO theme, you can include it in your video as a spoken line, narration in the background, as a caption or in some other way.
Entry is free, and is open to all students in Malaysia subject to the following :
Register an account with www.youthvideoawards.com (the “Website”) and then log in to fill in all the personal details of all individuals in the group and download the Proposal template.
Brainstorm with your teammates on the video title (Tajuk), synopsis (Ringkasan) and storyboard (Papan Cerita) upload the idea to the Website by the business day close of 5:00PM, Thursday, 5th May 2016.
The selected teams with the best titles and ideas synopsis from Phase 1, will be informed to complete a proper storyboard and a script for Phase 2 based on your title and synopsis.
The video storyboard can be of any genre.
i.e. you can submit a work that features elements of documentary, drama, horror, musical, sci-fi etc.
For Phase 3, the selected entrant groups with the best storyboard & script will be called in for an interview. Selected groups from the interview will be invited for a video shoot Boot Camp and provided a limited cash grant to start the video production shooting. This cash grant will be subjected to terms & conditions and will be specified in detail during the video shoot Boot Camp.
Each video may only be submitted once. Entrants may submit multiple entries, as long as each entry differs significantly in plot and flow from any others videos submitted by that entrant group.

The judges may disqualify a video if they have reason to believe that it does not comply with the entry Terms and Conditions, so make sure you have read them thoroughly!
Finalists will be contacted via email and mobile phone and announced on the Website.
Please ensure you submit a valid email address and valid mobile number with your entry.
The entrants whose submissions best capture the theme of this year’s contest ‘You Only Live Once’, and are considered the most engaging, imaginative and innovative in content and delivery, will be deemed the winners. For more info, please visit section Judging Criteria.
The winners will be announced at the Youth Videos Award’s 2016 Finale, to be held in Klang Valley this coming July 2016.
